If you do not agree, do not use the site. We may revise these terms at any time; the version posted here governs your use, and the effective date above indicates when it was last changed.

No medical or professional advice

The content on this site describes research activities and is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or an offer of clinical care. Nothing here should be used to make decisions about the diagnosis or treatment of any condition. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical questions.

Investigational status

References to compounds, programs, targets, or therapeutic approaches describe research in progress. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy any product or security, and no statement here should be read as a claim that any product is approved, safe, or effective for any use.

Forward-looking statements

Statements about plans, timelines, expected results, or potential outcomes are forward-looking and subject to risk and uncertainty. Actual results may differ materially. We undertake no obligation to update any such statement.

You may view and print pages for your own non-commercial reference. You may not copy, republish, scrape, mirror, or use the content commercially, or use our names and marks, without our prior written permission.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, use automated means to place unreasonable load on it, or submit unlawful, misleading, or infringing material through any form on the site.

Please do not send confidential, proprietary, or personal health information through the contact form. Information you submit through the form is not treated as confidential, and sending it does not create any confidentiality obligation or partnership between us. If you wish to discuss something confidential, contact us first to arrange an appropriate agreement.

Third-party links and services

The site links to third-party sites and relies on third-party services to function. We do not control those sites or services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Links are not endorsements.

Not an offer of securities

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any securities of Proxy or any other company. Any such offer will be made only through formal offering documents and in compliance with applicable law.

No government endorsement

References to government agencies, programs, or funding, including BARDA and the FDA, describe Proxy's work or public information only. They do not imply that any government agency endorses Proxy, its research, or its products.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Proxy and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the site. In any case, Proxy's total liability arising from the site will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Proxy and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of the site or its content or your breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site.

Changes to these terms

Proxy may update these terms at any time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Accessibility

Proxy aims for this site to be usable by everyone and works toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. If any part of the site is difficult to use, contact hello@proxyresearch.com and we will work to provide the information in another way.

02  Data and Analysis

How the program data on this site was built, and its limits.

Nature of the data

Charts and figures describing drug development programs are aggregated, retrospective analyses of public registry and regulatory data, published for illustrative and research purposes only. They do not describe, rank, or evaluate any individual product, sponsor, or company.

Definitions

In the program data on this site, a repurposed drug is one already approved by a regulator for another indication before it entered trials in the disease shown. A repositioned drug was previously developed for another indication but not approved for it. A de novo drug was first developed for the disease shown. A program is one drug in one disease; it is counted as approved when an approval is recorded for that drug and active while trials continue without an approval or termination. Figures describing approval rates count active programs in the total unless stated otherwise.

Approval chart

The approval chart on the homepage shows one point per industry-sponsored drug–disease program that entered a pediatric Phase 2 or 3 trial since 2001. These are not Proxy candidates. The approval rate on the homepage counts only programs that entered trials from 2001 to 2020, so each has had at least five years to reach an outcome. Programs from that period that are still active are included in the total. Data as of Sep 2026. Definitions, classification rules, sources, and limits for this chart are set out in this section.

Classification method

Program outcomes such as approved, not approved, and active are classified by Proxy using its own stated rules and may differ from sponsor, registry, or regulator records. Approval dates may reflect a drug's first approval in any indication rather than the indication shown.

Model outputs

Any factor derived from a statistical model is an estimate produced for research purposes. It is not a prediction of, or statement about, the outcome of any specific program.

Not medical or investment advice

This analysis is not a recommendation to use, prescribe, invest in, or otherwise evaluate any product, program, or company, and should not be relied on for clinical, regulatory, or financial decisions.

No warranty

Data and analyses are provided "as is", without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Source registries may be incomplete or out of date, and Proxy may revise or withdraw any analysis without notice. Proxy is not liable for any decision made in reliance on them.

Sources and attribution

Analyses draw on ClinicalTrials.gov (U.S. National Library of Medicine), openFDA and Drugs@FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration), Open Targets, and Orphanet. Orphanet data is used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). No affiliation with or endorsement by any of these organizations is implied.

Third-party names

Drug, product, and company names referenced on this site are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.

Corrections

If you believe any data shown on this site is inaccurate, contact hello@proxyresearch.com. Proxy will review the request and correct or remove the data where appropriate. Individual program records underlying any chart are available on request.

What we collect

This is a marketing site with one form. There is no account system, and we do not sell anything through it. We collect three things:

Contact form submissions

The name, organization, email address, and message you choose to enter. We use this only to read and respond to your inquiry, and to keep a record of the correspondence.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a cookieless analytics service, to understand how the site is used in aggregate: pages viewed, country derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring site, and interactions such as clicking a call to action or submitting the contact form. Plausible does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses, and does not track visitors across sites or over time. No individual visitor is identified.

We do not run advertising or personalization tags, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Cookies

This site does not set any cookies. Our analytics provider counts visits without cookies and without any identifier stored on your device, so there is no consent banner and nothing for you to accept or decline.

Who processes it

We use service providers to run the site and receive form submissions. Contact form data is transmitted by Web3Forms and delivered to us by email. Analytics is processed by Plausible Insights OÜ on servers in the European Union. Our hosting provider and email provider process data incidental to delivering the site and our correspondence. These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Where it goes

Proxy is based in the United States, and information collected through this site is processed there. If you are in the EU, UK, or Switzerland, this means your information is transferred outside your jurisdiction. Where such a transfer requires a safeguard, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism used by the provider concerned.

How long we keep it

Contact form correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your inquiry and maintain a record of it, and then deleted on request or in the ordinary course of managing our mailbox. Aggregate analytics data is retained by our analytics provider and contains no personal identifiers.

EU and UK visitors

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, our legal bases are: our legitimate interest in understanding aggregate, cookieless site usage; and our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and operating a secure website, for contact form data. You may object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest at any time.

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@proxyresearch.com.

California residents

Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, the categories of personal information we collect are identifiers (name, email address, IP address), professional information (organization), and internet activity information (pages viewed and interactions on this site). The purposes are described above. We collect this information from you directly and from your use of the site.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, including with respect to consumers under 16. You have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Submit a request by emailing hello@proxyresearch.com; we will verify it against the information we hold before responding. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorization.

Other US states

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and Texas, have comparable rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability, and may appeal a refused request. Use the same contact address above.

Do Not Track and global privacy signals

This site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track headers, as there is no common standard for them. The site sets no cookies and does not track visitors across sites or over time, so there is no tracking for these signals to turn off.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and Proxy does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through the site, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable measures to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this notice as the site or our practices change. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be signposted on this page.
